Project Believe Christmas will make its return to Moyross for Christmas 2025, bringing festive magic back to the local community and to wider Limerick.

Project Believe first appeared in 2019, where just 50 people attended, and has grown to see crowds of up to 5,000 attending, even going above and beyond during COVID-19 as a counter to a time when events across the country had been cancelled, bringing a team of volunteers and local companies together to create something magical in the Moyross area.

Organiser Jamie Daly says the festival is a testament to the true community spirit in Limerick city as the team of volunteers brought Santa Claus to neighbourhoods across Limerick, including St. Mary’s Park, Weston, and Carew Park, ensuring everyone felt included.

With the site currently under construction, major work is ongoing over the next two to four weeks, a large production team and a number of supporting companies are involved in creating what is going to be a true festive spectacle, bringing the local children’s imagination to life. This year’s festival will feature both a drive-through experience and a special walkthrough session on Saturday, 20 December, from 12pm to 4pm.

Visitors can expect a Santa’s workshop, gifts, festive displays a great sense of Christmas feeling, joy, which will be a magical experience for all the kids, and organisers have remained tight-lipped about all of the information, making sure some surprises remain as kids visit Santa and his elves.

Jamie Daly, who spoke recently with Brian Hayes of “What’s the Story”, said, “We’re just finalising plans and everything. But, what to expect on a day will be a gian Santa workshop, where you are going to have presents everywhere. You are gonna have a great sense of Christmas feeling, it’s just gonna be really special for all the kids. Magical!”

With Brian adding, “ I also want to say, this isn’t just about Moyross, this is about all parts of Limerick and all walks of life. You’re more than welcome to pop out here!”

As bookings for the event are expected to go quickly, organisers have advised people to book early, saying, “We are getting a very large amount of messages for tickets. We can’t hold any tickets for the two Driv-Thru shows. We expect these to be booked out immediately! After release on Friday, the 28th of November, at 5 p.m., if you unfortunately can’t get tickets for the Driv-Thru, you can do the Walk-Thru Festival.”
