THE PUNCHLINE COMEDY series returns Tuesday, January 28 with Colin Geddis 

The Punchline series returns to University Concert Hall this January and the line-up gets better and better.

The Punchline is a monthly comedy club at University Concert Hall, Limerick hosted by comedian, actor and UCH Panto star Tom O’Mahony (Damo & Ivor, Bridget & Eamonn).

The Punchline will take place on the last Tuesday of every month and first up, on Tuesday, January 28 is Colin Geddis fresh from two sold-out nights in the SSE Arena, Belfast.

Colin has dominated Northern Irish comedy for the past 10 years, selling out his solo stand up shows, generating millions of hits on both YouTube and Facebook and securing over 1 million podcast listens on his hugely popular “General Banter” podcast.

Tom O’Mahony is one of the busiest Irish headline acts on the circuit. Playing every major festival and club here and abroad, he has recently toured with MTV star Tom Green and Mock The Week regular Tom Stade.

A regular on Irish TV, Tom starred alongside the legendary Rik Mayall in Season 1 of the award-winning TV series Damo & Ivor.

He also featured in the hit RTE show Bridget & Eamon as your everyday oddball neighbour Paddy d’Pervert (it’s French!).

This month’s headliner is Danny O’ Brien! Now a veteran of the Irish and international stand-up scene. His friendly, high energy, anecdotal style brings on the big laughs with ease. 

He is a regular on Irish TV and radio and last year he brought the house down when he opened for Dermot & Dave at UCH.

He also recently opened for American comedian Bill Burr in front of over 7,000 people in The 3Arena and according to Bill “…. murdered it”!

Fred Cooke is leaving his twinkle toes behind him from Dancing with the Stars and taken to the road for his new comical tour of musical madness. 

Becoming “Irish Comedian of the Year 2018” (Tatler Magazine), he has supported Irish Comedy legend Tommy Tiernan on his Nationwide Tour.

Cooke’s guitar plucking panache enables him to paint comical situations before delivering unexpected killer-punch lines that leave his audience “elevated to hilarity” (The Scotsman).
