Rape Crisis Midwest are committed to using your donations to help heal lives of men and women in the Midwest who have survived childhood sexual abuse and recent rape or sexual assault. Approximately 85 men and women come through our doors weekly for ongoing support.

“Fundraising is a vital and ongoing activity for Rape Crisis Midwest. Rape Crisis Midwest is a part funded, voluntary organisation and every year we face a shortfall of €120,000-€150,000” said Tracey Quinn, Project Coordinator for Rape Crisis Midwest.

The Centre was founded in 1980 as Limerick Rape Crisis Centre, by a group of women and men who were concerned about the lack of services for survivors of rape and sexual abuse. Since then it has worked to provide comprehensive information, professional support and a quality counselling service for survivors of sexual abuse and violence throughout the Midwest region.

“Without the ongoing support of the public our core services would be threatened and we are extremely grateful to all our supporters for their time and effort,” said Tracey Quinn.

Miriam Duffy, Executive Director Rape Crisis Midwest said, “Without the support of the people and business community in Limerick, Rape Crisis Midwest would not be able to continue to provide this much-needed service which we have been doing for the past 35 years. On behalf of the people who use our service, we would like to thank everyone who continues to support us.”
