Rape Crisis Midwest was set up in the mid 1980’s and is based here in Limerick. They are located at Phoenix House, Punch’s Close, Rosbrien Road, Limerick. They also have centres in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary and in Ennis, Co. Clare. The aim of Rape Crisis Midwest is to provide support to those who have survived rape and sexual assault. Rape Crisis Midwest set out to provide male and female survivors of sexual violence by offering them free, confidential, non-judgemental crisis support and counselling services. As well as this, Rape Crisis Midwest also offer a range of other services such as:
- Telephone Counselling
- Court Accompaniment
- Group Support
- Training and Education Programmes
Along with these services they offer many more.
Rape Crisis Midwest are always looking for more volunteers to help out with such a great cause. They host information evenings and cover a range of topics.
