Redemptorist Christmas Hamper Appeal 2018 to help the needy

Ms. Attracta Mulryan, Business Consultant at Northern Trust launched the Redemptorist Christmas Hamper Appeal 2018 at the Redemptorists on Thursday, November 22.

Ms. Mulryan commented, “We’re honoured and proud to launch the 2018 appeal and to partner with the Society of St Vincent de Paul and the Redemptorists for a sixth year. This year’s appeal is an important one to Northern Trust as we look to help pack 6,000 hampers for distribution by the Society of St Vincent de Paul and other organizations in the lead up to Christmas.  At Northern Trust, we promote a culture of caring and commitment to invest in the communities we work within.”

Ms. Mulryan presented the new Christmas Hamper Appeal banner and slogan – Even the Holy Family needed help at Christmas. Fr Seamus Enright, Director of the Christmas Hamper Appeal, commented that the Holy Family knew what it was to be homeless, what it was to flee political violence and what it was like to live as migrants in a strange land.

Children attended the launch from local schools and they will be supporting the Christmas Hamper Appeal.

It is a very worthy cause and all funds collected are used 100% to purchase food so as to ensure that families are not short of food at Christmas time and are distributed through an extensive volunteer network.

Donations of cash, food and new toys may be sent to Fr Seamus Enright at the Redemptorists, Mount St Alphonsus, Henry St.

For any queries call Fr Seamus at 086 8325999.
