Founded in 2010, technological developments by Renovo will greatly enhance the development of future software-defined vehicles and will help revolutionise the Midwest.

Welcoming Renovo Ireland to the Shannon Campus, CEO of Renovo Motors, Ms Considine, said, “Innovation is in Shannon Group’s DNA, that is why as a partner of Future Mobility Campus Ireland (FMCI), we are delighted to welcome Renovo Ireland to Shannon Free Zone.”

Renovo will greatly enhance the development of future software-defined vehicles.

Renovo will greatly enhance the development of future software-defined vehicles.

Key functions at Renovo’s HQ and new Software Development Hub will include management, software development, engineering, and business development, enabling opportunities for people of all trades in the Midwest.

Martin Shanahan the chief executive of IDA Ireland commented, “I wish to thank these new companies for choosing to locate in Ireland and assure them of IDA Ireland’s continued support as they embed themselves into Ireland’s vibrant business ecosystem. The spread of these investments demonstrates IDA Ireland’s commitment to winning roles for regional locations and showcases the availability of talent and attractive work-life balance in the regions which deeply resonates with overseas investors.”

Tánaiste Leo Varadkar also added, “Investment in Ireland has remained remarkably resilient throughout the pandemic. These new jobs, which are in Shannon, Galway, Dundalk, Cork and Dublin, demonstrate the commitment of existing international partners to expand here, and of our ability to attract new investment.”

Specific to the future of the Midwest in Limerick, Denis Hamann, Managing Director of Renovo, explained, “Using Shannon as their headquarters will allow us the perfect opportunity to scale locally in support of this project, and others across the greater EMEA region.”

Niall Collins, Minister of State at the Department of Further and Higher Education added, “It shows how strong the Midwest region is to attract companies of this sort. These are high-tech jobs, and obviously, the quality of graduates from our third level institutions played a part in Renovo’s decision to come to Shannon.”

Renovo will contribute to higher employment in the Midwest and will lead to developments in future software-defined vehicles. Renovo is currently developing intelligent data to capture and redefine vehicle architectures, optimised to improve overall safety, efficiency, and performance. Limerick will play a major role in this development and will take grip of the wheel and accelerate us into a prosperous and successful future.
