Luail brings REVERB to Lime Tree Theatre on Friday, October 10, with music by Lisa Canny as part of Bualadh Bos Festival

Luail – Ireland’s National Dance Company collaborates with Mayo-woman Lisa Canny to bring the show for young people, REVERB, to venues across the island of Ireland this Autumn with a special stop at the 2025 Bualadh Bos Festival in the Lime Tree Theatre on Friday, October 10 at 11 am.
REVERB, created by UK choreographer Sarah Golding with music by Irish composer and multi-instrumentalist Lisa Canny (BIIRD), is a high-energy, celebration of dance, music and legacy.
Touring up to October 10, Luail – Ireland’s National Dance Company brings REVERB across the island of Ireland; a chance for young audiences to experience an exhilarating fusion of traditional live and contemporary music and dance in their locality.
REVERB, a powerful collaboration between choreographer Sarah Golding and multi-instrumentalist Lisa Canny, combines physicality with spellbinding vocals and sounds, exploring how our actions echo through time and leave their mark.
This production sees Luail’s dancers perform to live music on stage, with Canny leading the musicians and dancers on harp and vocals.

With Canny’s signature mix of traditional and modern sounds driving the dancers, every beat tells a story, blending past and present in a raw, emotional experience.
Get ready for a performance where rhythm lives, tradition breathes, and every moment and movement resonates.
Speaking about REVERB, choreographer Sarah Golding said, “I’m excited to be working with Luail in the creation of REVERB – I’m particularly thrilled to be pairing up with the amazing Lisa Canny, it’s a dream collaboration, and a pleasure to be working with Luail’s company of amazing dancers, along with musicians Laura Doherty and Josh Sampson. The inspiration for REVERB came from a piece that I created for Maiden Voyage Dance in 2024, the work is all about people gathering for the retelling of stories in a joyful way; a celebration of how music and dance connect all of us to past memories”
