The launch of the art festival took place on Thursday August 21. Catherine Keane was among the Roches Street Traders who attended the event. “It’s a great pleasure to represent Roches Street Traders. I’m also here on behalf of Headway Acquired Brain Injury and I have painted a picture for them”.

Originally the aim of the festival was to generate awareness of the street and to bring art to the public. Service Coordinator of Spina Bifida, Gillian O’Gorman was also there on the night, “We’re very grateful to all the Roches Street Traders for nominating our charity this year for the funds that are going to be raised at the Roches Street Festival. We’re here today to thank them and to support the festival.”

Chairman of Limerick Marine Search and Rescue, Tony Cusack said “It’s a fantastic opportunity for Limerick Search and Rescue where the public and the traders are now fundraising for our service to continue and prosper from.”

Opening of the festival will take place at Serendipity, Roches Street at 6pm Monday the 8th of September.
