A diverse range of local produce, homemade bakes and artisan gifts will be available at a special Farmers Market taking place on Sunday, April 11 at Rockbarton Garden Centre, Bruff, Co Limerick.  Set in a beautiful historic 18th Century courtyard, the Farmer’s Market will provide a great outdoor experience for local food producers and the public to celebrate the exceptional high quality of locally produced food.

Open from 10am to 2pm, over 20 stalls of fresh food will feature in the outdoor market including; Cheese Girls, Culbac Farm (fresh eggs), Baking4U, Laura’s Baking, Cookie n’Crumb and Gems Coffee. Much of the food is organic and all of it has been grown, produced or sourced by small producers across Limerick.

“The Farmers Market is a great way to support local farmers and artisan producers. The last few months have been hard on everyone so we’re delighted to have a place where people can get outside, enjoy the spring air and support one another in a safe environment,” said Lynda Sheehan, owner of Rockbarton Garden Centre.

As you soak up the atmosphere of the Farmer’s Market, you can also pick up gifts for you or someone special from stalls like Lough Gur Pottery and Plant Pup and the kids will love seeing some new born lambs.

Health and safety is a key priority for Rockbarton Garden Centre so there will be fewer vendors than pre-pandemic seasons to allow for proper physical distancing. A one-way system will be in place, all stalls will have hand sanitiser and a Covid-19 Safety Officer will monitor and limit crowds.
