Bestselling author and Limerick local Roisin Meaney will be joining us at Gallaghers Seafood Restaurant for a reading of her latest novel, The Street Where You Live Saturday, June 24 at 2 pm.
Following on from a successful lunchtime event last year, we are looking forward to hearing Roisin read from her latest novel in the comfort of the beautiful thatched cottage that houses our award winning restaurant. The event will be complemented by light refreshments from Gallagher’s kitchen, a book raffle and a Q&A session with Roisin herself, giving an opportunity for her fans to ask all their most pertinent questions! An Afternoon with Roisin Meaney at Gallaghers Seafood Restaurant is free of charge.
Over six weeks of summer and in the country’s hottest heat wave in years, members of a choir prepare for an end of summer concert, but as the notes soar so too do the scandals and the secrets.
Roisin wrote her first novel in 2004 while working as a teacher and within a few years was writing full time. Roisin has published over 15 books since, including two titles for children, and her books have been translated into 6 different languages, as well as selling in the UK, US and Canada. She currently lives in Limerick city. “A novelist who has a gift for conveying the charm of the ordinary” The Irish Independent
