The Savoy Hotel announced as winner of the Limerick City Tidy Towns bi-monthly award for November–December 2025

The Savoy Hotel has been announced as the winner of the Limerick City Tidy Towns bi-monthly award for November–December 2025, for its outstanding Christmas lights and festive window displays.
The Savoy has always stood out for its elegant window displays and year-round planting, but this year’s Christmas décor is exceptional. Given the hotel’s prominent location in the heart of the city, its festive displays bring warmth, style and sparkle to Henry Street. The decorations create a truly welcoming atmosphere for both locals and visitors during the Christmas season.
As Limerick City’s only five-star hotel, The Savoy is renowned for its sophisticated design, luxury experiences and exceptional hospitality. The property features 107 Scandi-Chic guest rooms and suites, an exclusive Executive Lounge, the vibrant Savoy Bar known for its signature cocktails, and The Library, a refined space perfect for intimate gatherings and the hotel’s much-loved Afternoon Tea.
For larger celebrations, the elegant Savoy Suite hosts gala dinners, weddings, and corporate events, while Hamptons Bar & Grill offers relaxed, contemporary dining. The hotel’s culinary team focuses on local sourcing, blending classical techniques with modern Irish flavours to highlight the best of Limerick and the Wild Atlantic Way.
The Savoy was the sixth and final Tidy Towns award winner for 2025, joining Crew Brewing Company (Jan–Feb); Mike O’Connell Menswear (Mar–Apr); Katie Daly’s Heritage Pub (May–Jun); Residents of Richmond Terrace (Jul–Aug); and Cahill’s Tea (Sep–Oct).
All six winners will go forward for the Overall Winner 2025 Award, with the public poll opening in early 2026. Limerick City Tidy Towns welcomes nominations for future awards and encourages new volunteers.
The group meets every Sunday at 11 am at the corner of Thomas Street and O’Connell Street, and on Wednesday evenings at 6 pm outside the White House Pub during the summer months.
