Open Door Productions has announced their production of Scrooged will come to the Spiegeltent Pavilion in Limerick City for Saturday and Sunday, December 5 and 6.
Tickets are on sale now for the musical Christmas comedy guaranteed to delight audiences of all ages.
Devised and directed by acclaimed Limerick theatre-maker Margaret Hough, Scrooged is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud reimagining of Charles Dickens’ timeless classic, A Christmas Carol. Packed with comedy, live music, audience interaction and spectacular theatrical moments, this joyful production promises to become a festive highlight in Limerick’s Christmas calendar.

Featuring a talented cast of nine celebrated Limerick performers, Scrooged brings Ebenezer Scrooge’s unforgettable journey to life with lightning-fast costume changes, lively musical numbers, dazzling sound and lighting effects, and plenty of festive surprises along the way.
Audiences will follow Scrooge as he transforms from a cold-hearted miser into a man filled with generosity, kindness and Christmas spirit.
Recommended for ages 5 plus, Scrooged is the perfect Christmas outing for families looking to share laughter, music and festive magic together. Whether you’re introducing children to Dickens for the first time or rediscovering the beloved story yourself, this production offers something for everyone.
Speaking ahead of the production, director Margaret Hough said, “Scrooged is all about celebrating the joy of Christmas through laughter, music and storytelling.
“We’ve created a show that’s packed with energy, humour and heart, and we can’t wait to share it with audiences in the beautiful surroundings of the Spiegeltent Pavilion.”
The festive production will take place on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December, with performances at 2 pm and 4 pm each day.
Tickets are €23 (including booking fee), with a Family Ticket (4 people) available for €80, on sale now from the Dolans website
