Parkinson’s Midwest Limerick Seven Bridges Charity Walk to support six local charities
A fundraising walk organised by Parkinson’s Ireland Midwest will take on the historic Seven Bridges Charity Walk supporting a number of local charities

A fundraising walk to support Parkinson’s Ireland Midwest is set to take place on Sunday, April 26, from 10:30 am, where volunteers will take on the Seven Bridges Walk to support six local charities.
Organised by Parkinson’s Ireland Midwest branch, the event is supported by a number of local charities, including Limerick City Red Cross, Ennis Road Community First Responders, Multiple Sclerosis Midwest, Limerick Animal Welfare, Rise & Shine Trust, and Parkinson’s Ireland.
The fundraising walk is set to begin at Katie Daly’s Heritage Pub on Castle Street at 10:30 am, where participants will be spurred on with music and dance followed by a speech by Mayor of Limerick, John Moran.
A 6.5 km route, the seven bridges walk will see fundraisers travel a ‘figure-eight’ route through the historic streets of Limerick, and also offers a shroter 3.5 km route allowing walkers to exit by Mathew Bridge, with the full walk continuing on a second loop before finishing at King John’s Castle.
Insurance for the walk will be provided by Parkinson’s Ireland Midwest, while stewardship and safety will be managed by Community First Responders.
Announcing their involvement, Irish Red Cross – Limerick Area said, “We have been very kindly invited to take part in the 7 Bridges Charity Walk later this month, along with Limerick Animal Welfare, Multiple Sclerosis Ireland, Ennis Road Community First Responders, and Rise and Shine Trust. Event organised in full by Parkinson’s Ireland. We are very thankful for the offer.”
