Eleinor had an opportunity to move to China and lived in Shanghai for three years with her family. During Eleinor’s time in China, she had the opportunity to shadow Masters and Specialists of TCM in Private and Public Hospitals throughout Shanghai on a daily basis, observing learning and practising the ancient and modern knowledge and techniques of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Since returning from China, Eleinor is continuing her studies, recently completing Cosmetic Acupuncture with The College of Medical Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Eleinor provides a range of treatments including, Acupuncture, Cosmetic Acupuncture, Bio-Energy Therapy and Cupping and Moxibustion.
Acupuncture works by inserting fine needles into acupoints, stimulating and balancing the body’s energy system. Cosmetic Acupuncture is a natural skin rejuvenation method using the body’s healing energies. It increases circulation which in turn helps to rid the skin of wrinkles, fine lines and folds. Bio Energy Therapy is based on the most natural form of healing, our own Universal Energy Field. We can connect to the Universal Energy Field through simple exercises and body relaxation techniques to help balance and improve the bodies natural energy system. Cupping stimulates the area by producing localized blood congestion it helps in the treatment of back pain, sprains, soft tissue injuries and pain associated with menstruation. Moxibustion is a meridian heating technique through the burning of mugwort the deep penetrating heat of moxa activates the energy channels which helps the flow of Qi and blood and increases the mobility of muscles and joints.
Eleinors clinic is nestled under the shade of a very large horse chestnut tree in her garden in Cloonlusk, Doon, Co. Limerick. To book an appointment email Eleinor at [email protected] or call 061 380934 or 086 4142180.
