Shannon Airport, proud airport partner of the Munster Rugby Women’s team, is set to give the team a special send-off this Saturday as they travel to the Interprovincial final in the newly branded team bus for the 2025 series.

The partnership highlights Shannon Airport’s commitment to making it easy for the Munster Women, ensuring smooth journeys for the squad whether by air or by road.

Wrapped in Munster red and featuring Shannon Airport branding, the eye-catching coach made its debut last weekend as the team headed to Affidea Stadium for their Round 3 clash against Ulster. The squad delivered a decisive 38-17 victory, securing an unbeaten record in the round-robin stage ahead of this weekend’s final.

Shannon Airport joined forces with the Munster Rugby Women last year in a two-year partnership, building on its long-standing support of the Munster Rugby Men’s team. The airport plays a key role in connecting both teams – and their famously passionate supporters – to away fixtures.

Speaking today, Niall Kearns, Airport Director of Shannon Airport, said: “At Shannon Airport, we pride ourselves on making travel easy – and that goes beyond the terminal. We’re delighted to support the Munster Rugby Women’s team with this branded coach for the final two games of the Interpro series, giving them the same stress-free start to their journey on the road as they’d experience with us in the airport. We’re backing Munster all the way and wish them the very best of luck for Saturday’s final”.

Commenting, Munster Rugby Women’s team Head Coach, Matt Brown said: “It’s brilliant to have Shannon Airport behind us as a partner who really cares about how we get to games, at home or away. The new coach looks amazing – we were so excited when it was unveiled last week ahead of our trip to Ulster and we’re very proud to travel in it again this Saturday as we head to Dublin for the final.”
