Shannon College of Hotel Management Sleep Out Challenge

Published

on

The students of Shannon College of Hotel Management are moving away from the familiar world of luxury hotels and taking to the streets of Limerick City overnight in support of ADAPT Services.

Students of Shannon College will take part in a “Sleep Out” in the heart of Limerick City to raise much needed funds for their chosen charity.  The ‘Sleep Out’ will take place from 5pm on Friday 12th December and will continue until 7pm on Saturday 13th December. They will be making their beds outside the AIB Bank on O’Connell Street, Limerick City and in the spirit of Christmas the students hope that the public will be extremely generous and supportive of this well worthy cause.

ADAPT Services Limerick offer respect, support and safety to women and their children where domestic abuse has been experienced. ADAPT provide emergency accommodation and a number of different support services to women in Limerick City and County. The charity relies heavily on donations to continue offering the important services they provide to our community.

Shannon College of Hotel Management teach students how to deliver world class service in luxurious settings all over the globe, however the students are all aware that this idyllic picture is not the reality for everyone in the community. For this reason the students of Shannon College encourage anyone that is in the Limerick area to stop by and show their support by donating to this worthy cause.
