Shannon Heritage becomes the first visitor attractions company to be granted preferred supplier status by CTTC

Shannon Heritage becomes the first visitor attractions company to be granted preferred supplier status by CTTC

Shannon Group’s tourism experiences and attractions company, Shannon Heritage has today announced a landmark partnership with the Coach Tourism and Transport Council (CTTC). The agreement sees Shannon Heritage become the first visitor attractions company in Ireland to be granted preferred supplier status by the CTTC.

Shannon Heritage is also working with CTTC to become a named coach friendly location joining Ennis, Sligo & Dungarvan in what is another first from Shannon Heritage. This will recognize Shannon Heritage visitor attractions as sites that demonstrate a high level of commitment to welcoming coaches and their passengers by adhering to the criteria set out by CTTC in the provision of quality Coach Parking Infrastructure.

CTTC is the sole representative body for coach tour operators in Ireland. Its members supply coaches to tour operators operating in Ireland, act as tour operators themselves and provide coaches for private and educational hire, which are all very important markets for Shannon Heritage.

Kevin Traynor, Director of the Coach Tour Operators Council of Ireland said: “It is great to announce this partnership between CTTC and Shannon Heritage that sees Shannon Heritage become the first visitor attractions company in Ireland that we have granted preferred supplier status to. With Shannon Heritage being Ireland’s largest commercial operator of tourist attractions and experiences, it makes this partnership with ourselves a natural fit. We are looking forward to continuing to strengthen our strong relationship with Shannon Heritage.”

To be the first visitor attraction company to align itself with the CTTC – the main representative body for coach operators in Ireland – is a very important step for Shannon Heritage. Coach tourism is seeing significant growth in the market and we aim to provide unrivaled experiences for CTTC customers to enjoy. We are also are working on other aspects to deepen our relationship with CTTC.”

About CTTC, The CTTC is the sole representative body for coach and bus operators from all over the Republic of Ireland. Its members are engaged in many aspects of Coach Tourism from day tours to extended touring, Licenced. Scheduled Services, School Transport, and Private Hire. CTTC members operate in excess of 1,500 coaches and employ in excess of 3500 people throughout the country.
