Sionna 2021 Music and Arts Festival is a 3-day festival based in the heart of Limerick City.
The festival will run over 2 months, where a variety of artists ranging from hip-hop to live electronic to dance music will play.
Each night will be broadcasted live for people to enjoy from the comfort of their home or from the various spaces Sionna have teamed up with in Limerick.
Sionna aim to bring life and culture back to the city of Limerick and Ireland by working together with different venues and the city council to establish a platform for local artists to express themselves once again, as well as bringing some entertainment and excitement back to Limerick City.
Thursday, Sept 16 – Dolan’s Warehouse
Blindoy Podcast interviews Give Us the Night, a team composed of Sunil Sharpe and R. Kitt, who have been on the frontlines fighting for better support and reframe for the conversation around nightlife and the night-time economy in Ireland, with Strange Boy performing his album ‘Holy/Unholy’ at the end of the night.

Saturday, Sept 18 – King John’s Castle
For their second event, Sionna bring you a diverse and unique line-up which varies from hip-hop to electronica, featuring 5 live performances by artists from all around Ireland.

Saturday, Oct 16 – Rusks Warehouse
To finish Sionna 2021, they have gathered Ireland’s finest electronic artists. There will be a full lighting show on the night provided by Belfast’s ‘Visual Spectrum,’ who some may be familiar with from AVA festival, Belfast and “TOT Open Éire” in UL courtyard 2019.

For those attending the live events, a Covid cert will be required to gain entry to the venue, as well as temperature checks will be in place at the gate. Upon ticket purchase, you will be assigned a zone in the venue to ensure that social distancing is maintained. Please sanitize on the way into the venue, at the bar and after using toilet facilities.
