Students Creativity Awarded at the Smarter Travel Student Multimedia Awards 2017

Students from third level colleges were awarded in the Belltable Theatre on Wednesday, for creating fantastic videos, animations, audio pieces, radio ads and poster illustrations for the National Transport Authority’s Smarter Travel Student Multimedia Awards 2017. The entries produced by students, encourage other students to consider choosing ‘smarter’ modes of transport; particularly walking, cycling, public transport and car sharing.
The awards are supported by colleges nationally and in particular in Limerick by Limerick Smarter Travel.

One of the judges, Will Goodbody, Science & Technology Correspondent, RTÉ was “very impressed with the overall standard and quality of the entries. Collectively, they showed creative conceptual thinking, clever writing and skilled technical execution”.

“I’m delighted our Music Technology and Production students have had such success in the Smarter Travel Multimedia awards. The Smarter Travel Campus Multimedia Awards are organised by the National Transport Authority. This was the third year of the Multimedia awards. It was open to third level institutions in Ireland who are partners of the Smarter Travel Campus programme.
