SMI Transition Year Fashion Fundraiser

SMI Transition YearIt was time to get your fashionable selves in gear again as transition year students and staff from Scoil Mhuire agus Ide in Newcastle West presented their annual red carpet Fashion Show  held at the Courtenay Lodge Hotel. The show featured the 2014 spring collections from over 11 boutiques including menswear and sportswear with all proceeds from the night contributed towards the funding SMI’s highly successful Transition year programme. The previous shows have been a huge success, both for the school and for local businesses, which is especially important in these financially difficult times. Teachers, Neasa Harris, Michelle Thompson, Margaret Moran and Breda O’Sullivan along with other staff of SMI were busy co-ordinating this year’s event and it was a fun filled night with students and teachers working the catwalk and incredible musical performances by the students.
