After taking a look back at 2021, Social Impact Ireland wants to reward social entrepreneurs/social enterprises for their resilience this year, and are looking for the public to nominate their favourite social entrepreneur/social enterprise for the Social Impact Ireland Community Awards.

The Social Impact Ireland Community Awards shine a light on social enterprises that have found the inner strength to be a voice and a light for positive social impact around Ireland.

When thinking of a social enterprise/entrepreneur to nominate, Social Impact Ireland wants you to think about who has made an impact on your community, who do you admire, and who has stood out as being a real champion during these challenging times.

The three award categories for the Community Awards are:

Community Champion – The social entrepreneur/social enterprise that has created a real social impact in the last year. They have stood out as real champions of the community and deserve recognition.

Community Chameleon – The social entrepreneur/social enterprise that has adapted and pivoted well over the last year. This entrepreneur/enterprise has embraced the changes in how we work and interact in recent times.

Community Cheerleader – The social entrepreneur/social enterprise who has kept the spirit in the community alive. This entrepreneur/enterprise has brought positivity to the community around them.

Social Impact Ireland has already had many nominations, with the first Community Champion to be nominated being Mamobo Ogoro of Gorm Media, who was nominated by Miriam Sweeney.

Social Impact Ireland was founded in Limerick and strives to make a positive impact on Irish society each and every single day through leadership, elevating the voices of the sector, collaboration, passion, and expertise.

The social entrepreneurs/social enterprises with the most nominations will be announced on Tuesday, December 14 at the Social Impact Ireland Virtual Christmas Coffee Morning, which is open to all to join.
