Five of the country’s most tipped Live acts to take to the stage in Limerick as part of the inaugural Soundwaves conference

Five of Ireland’s most tipped live acts will perform at the inaugural Soundwaves conference on Wednesday, November 12, showcasing some of the country’s up-and-coming talent.
The first-ever Soundwaves conference, supported by the Limerickatnight office, will bring BABYRAT, MayKay, Jamie McIntyre, Simple Things, and Limerick’s Robert Dawson to the city.
Soundwaves Showcase will see performances at Commercial and Tom Collins on Catherine Street for some of the biggest music companies in the world with Universal Music, Apple, BBC, Sony and many more amongst them confirmed attendees at the three day Music and Podcasting Conference.
Fresh from a sold-out UK and Ireland tour, BABYRAT is cutting through the noise with razor-sharp riffs, anthemic choruses and the kind of edge that power-pop has been missing. Sonically landing somewhere between The Strokes and Olivia Rodrigo.
Simple Things is a Kerry-based three-piece, featuring vocalist Dylan, bass guitarist and backing vocalist Shane and instrumentalist Kealan. They bring a fresh new flavour to pop music, with their traditional Irish background influence and with sold-out shows from Whelan’s to Dolans.

Galway songwriter Jamie McIntyre has been riding the crest of a wave this past year with his viral smash hit single “Over Galway Town”, amassing over 5 million streams on Spotify, sitting amongst some of the world’s biggest artists in the viral charts.
With her debut self-titled solo album “MayKay” just dropped on GrainStore, the former Fight Like Apes frontwoman is stepping into her own spotlight. The record, born out of grief and self-discovery, has been critically acclaimed as “MayKay, unfiltered and finally solo on her own stage”
Robert Dawson is an upcoming Limerick singer/Songwriter who has gained recognition with his newest track ‘Scared’, which has amassed over 23k streams and over 150k TikTok views.
