Spacecraft is an affordable, non-profit contemporary art studio & project space in Limerick City. It was set up in 2017 by graduates of Limerick School of Art and Design and is centrally located beside the Milk Market. The space facilitates eight artists working in a variety of disciplines in the studio space alongside a project space which is an open plan space. Spacecraft is specifically aimed at emerging artists.

The goals of the spacecraft are to facilitate artists in Limerick City by providing studio space, project space and additional opportunities to engage with the city’s arts community. Through the creation of common resources, both artistic and otherwise, we hope to create a space which is conducive to shared responsibility and communication between members and thus may facilitate artists with the skills and confidence to initiate their own projects beyond the studio.

The opening reception is scheduled for Culture Night on September 19, from 5.30 – 8.30 pm
