St Gabriel’s Orthotics Private Clinic launched their new private orthotics service on Thursday, May 1st in Dooradoyle, Limerick with the help of Ireland International and Munster Rugby star, Craig Casey

The sports star was on hand to cut the ribbon and lead the way for people to get relief for foot and lower limb pain in Limerick’s newest private foot clinic.

For those of you that don’t know what Orthotics are, they are custom-made insoles that help to alleviate foot and lower limb and joint pain. If you have general foot pain in your day-to-day life, pain while you’re out for a walk or feel under pressure standing for long periods of your day at work, are hiking, running or playing sports and something is not right, then a set of custom-made orthotics could be life-changing, giving you a pain-free life to look forward to.

Clinic Manager, Dr Declan Sweeney, is delighted to see this day come to fruition. “This is a great day for St Gabriel’s. We are experts in this field, and we pride ourselves on being able to bring this knowledge to the wider public. In this day and age, foot and lower limb pain is very common and it’s also very treatable with the right set of orthotics. We see so many people walk out of here in their new bespoke orthotics with instant relief. It takes years off them.”

Declan and his team at the clinic treat common problems like Plantar Fasciitis, heel spur, Sever’s disease, Morton’s neuroma, metatarsalgia, shin splints and runner’s knee.

“Clients are coming from as far away as Kerry and Galway. We have a huge word of mouth referral rate, and we are looking forward to meeting new clients over the coming weeks and helping them get their quality of life back by alleviating their pain once and for all.” Dr. Sweeney added.

CEO, Treasa McAuliffe, is delighted to see the doors of the Private Clinic open to the general public.

It’s because of grants like this that we can help generate revenue and sustain our social enterprise model for other parts of our service. We are very confident in the expertise that Declan and his team bring to the Clinic. Declan is the only person with his qualifications in the country so anyone coming here can be sure that their feet are in the best possible hands.” she said.

Located in Dooradoyle, the private clinic is so easy to access. The clinic offers free parking, and it is less than a minute walk from your car to the waiting room. All ages are welcome.
