On Thursday, December 17, at 8pm the Chronicle Brothers, Mike Buckley and Jason Nash will host a Star Wars Film Night  Odeon Castletroy.

The event is organised by two such kind people; Mike Buckley and Jason Nash of the chronicle brothers. Tickets cost €30 each, they can be purchased from Mike Buckley 087 211 8235 & Jason Nash 087 280 4583. This includes entry and one free professional photograph. Book early to avoid disappointment. An event not to be missed for all “Trekkie” fans!

Jason Corbett, originally from Limerick, was found dead at his home in Wallburg, North Carolina with fatal head injuries on Sunday, August 2. Jason, who moved to the US four years ago was originally from Janesboro. August 2, 2015 changed the lives of Jack, Sarah and Jason’s family forever.

His family faced an intense expensive custody battle to fulfill Jason’s wishes in his will to have little Jack & Sarah returned to Ireland. But his Second wife Molly Martens, who is a person of interest along with her Father in Jason’s homicide fought to keep them in the US and continue to instigate legal proceedings to have them returned to the US. The funds raised at the event will go towards helping the Corbetts with legal and travel costs.

Jason had the children with his first wife, Mags Corbett, who died in 2006 after suffering an asthma attack which left him completely devastated. His Sister Tracey and her husband David Lynch are now the court-appointed guardians of Jack and Sarah and they are settled back home in Limerick.

Speaking about the fundraising drive, supporter Mary Fitzpatrick said, “I kept waiting to hear if somebody was going to do something to support them because it does cost a lot of money and Limerick is very good for coming out and supporting families in crisis. I think I know from the similar experience that I had that Limerick is very good to help their own.”

Please support the Star Wars Film Night Odeon Castletroy. Tracey Lynch said recently “It’s very hard to put into words our deep gratitude to people for what they’ve done for my family and I. We will be forever grateful”. Every donation made, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated by the Corbett family.

May the Force be with you!
