The Still House Bar enters the final stages of its re-opening in Limerick City Center under the new leadership

Limerick’s local hospitality offering has received a positive boost as the much-loved Still House is set to reopen, with punters told, “We have big plans for Limerick.”

The iconic Still House Bar in Limerick City which closed in February 2023 at the same time as a local coffee chain due to the previous leaseholder entering voluntary liquidation, is set to reopen under new management.

In what has been a tough period for the hospitality and vintner’s industry of in Ireland, seeing more than 2,000 pubs close across the country in the past two decades, the reopening of venues like the Still House Bar will be welcome news to the industry as well as Limerick City punters.

The landmark Limerick City pub is now approaching the final stages of its re-opening under the new leadership of Elite Hospitality, a dynamic and innovative hospitality group which includes venues such as the popular entertainment venue ‘The Silvermine’ in North Tipperary.

Expressing their excitement of reopening, the new management team posted an image to the Still House Facebook Page with the message: “Limerick, stay tuned.”

Elite Hospitality said, “Limerick is a vibrant, and exciting city of culture which we can’t wait to be a part of. We are delighted to announce the re-opening of the Still House Bar at a time when we are more often hearing about bars closing rather than opening. From live music 7 nights a week, to festivals and events we have big plans for Limerick.”

Behind this endeavour is dynamic duo Danny Corbett and Dean Foley, who are passionate about redefining and reviving the nightlife and tourism economy.
