Strokers Karaoke Night: The Grand Finale on this Friday!

For the past month, Strokers Bar has been hosting a Karaoke competition every Friday to raise funds for Limerick Pride 2017.

Hosting the first three Heats of the Strokers Karaoke Night was ‘Karaoke with Fada’. Fada who is well known for his karaoke nights in Limerick will be back for the final, alongside special guest Killian James Fitzgerald at the grand Finale. The judges are Michelle Brown, Ms Gay Limerick, Christian Moretti, Mr Gay Limerick and Louise McCormack, Chairperson of Limerick Pride, who are all excited to be attending this event.

The stage is set, whether contestants sang for fun or sing to win! Entry to the Strokers Karaoke Night is free. Limerick Pride Transgender representative, who took the lead with the Limerick Pride committee on this fundraiser, Caroline Jessica Stewart will be presenting the winner of the Strokers Karaoke Night with 2 Weekend Camping Tickets to Bare in The Woods Festival, 2 Hours Recording Studio Time in Open Door Studios (Includes Sound Engineer & CD), and a Bottle of Prosecco

Heat 1 for this event took place on April 7th; Heat 2 took place April 21st; Heat 3 took place on April 28th and the Grand Finale will take place this Friday, May 5th.

Limerick LGBTQ has a thriving community working together and with other organisations to progress gay rights and culture in the city and county. The highlight of the year is the annual Limerick LGBTQ Pride festival, which takes place from 10th to 16th July, with the parade on the 15th. Strokers Bar is the ultimate gay venue that sets out to provide a great night out in the city. It is a spacious bar with a dedicated dance space and a cosy heated smoking area. The Grand Finale for the Strokers Karaoke Night takes place at 8:30 pm so make sure to show your support for Limerick by entering for €5 or entering the raffle that will take place on the night! Richard is a presenter, producer, songwriter and actor. He was named the Limerick Person of the Year (2011) and won an online award at the Metro Éireann Media and Multicultural Awards (2011) for promoting multi-culturalism online.
