Limerick businessmen and women gathered together in The George Boutique Hotel to take to the catwalk to raise funds for African Women Farmers with a Style In The City Fashion Fundraiser. Self Help Africa works with rural communities to help them improve their farms and their livelihoods. Attendees were treated to bucks fizz and nibbles, musical entertainment and the very best fashion collections from local shops and designers such as The Ivory Closet and designer to the stars Marion Murphy Cooney. Self Help Africa’s Munster fundraising coordinator Gaye Moore put out a request for local business people to act as models on the night and was delighted with the response as Sharon Mc Meel of Fusion events and Sharon Tucker from Thelma and Louise signed up and Operation Transformation participant Kayleigh Yeoman acted as MC.
