Limerick Libraries announce the return of the Summer Stars Reading Adventure running until Saturday, August 31

Limerick City and County Council’s Limerick Libraries are thrilled to announce the return of the much-loved Summer Stars Reading Adventure, a free reading programme designed for children to enjoy over the sunny summer months.
Running until Saturday, 31 August, this year’s adventure promises more fun, more excitement, and more reading!
The festival turned over a new leaf by embracing sustainability and saying goodbye to the previous years’ merchandise giveaways. Instead, Limerick City and County Council’s Libraries are offering something even more thrilling: the chance to win family passes to Limerick’s top attractions!
But that’s not all – Limerick’s libraries will be buzzing with family-friendly events all summer long. Keep your eyes peeled on our event listings at your local library and follow our social media channels for all the latest updates.
Don’t miss out on a summer filled with imagination and adventure. To kickstart your summer of stories, simply visit your nearest library branch, sign up for the programme, and receive your complimentary Summer Stars bag and reading card.
Once registered, you will be in with a chance to win one of the family passes Limerick Libraries will be giving away each week of the summer.
All children who complete the programme will be in with a chance to win an additional prize in the final draw in September.
Noreen O’Neill, Senior Executive Librarian at Limerick City and County Council says books open up a world of possibilities, “Dive into the magical world of books with Summer Stars. Whether you are exploring far off galaxies, solving mysteries or discovering hidden treasures, reading opens doors to endless possibilities. So grab your library card, register for Summer Stars and let the stories whisk you away”.
Make this summer a reading adventure to remember and visit your local library.
