Attendees will meet the creative team, learn about upcoming productions and take part in festive music-making that celebrates connection, creativity and the spirit of Christmas.

Take A Bow Theatre Company announces its first official information session, marking an exciting milestone in the company’s development as a new, vibrant theatrical production group in Limerick.

The launch event also coincides with the beginning of the company’s first community performance project, Take A Bow Christmas Carols 2025, inviting teens and adults across the region to take part in an uplifting seasonal celebration.

The information session and Christmas Carols rehearsals will be held over three consecutive Saturdays- 29th November, 6th December and 13th December from 4pm till 6pm at Caherdavin Community Centre. These sessions are designed to welcome new participants, provide insight into the company’s mission and offer a chance for the community to experience the creative atmosphere that Take A Bow aims to cultivate.

Whether participants are experienced performers or simply passionate about singing and community involvement, the Christmas Carols project offers a warm and inclusive environment for all.

Take A Bow Theatre Company is committed to creating high-quality musical productions and providing accessible opportunities for people of all ages to explore the performing arts. With an emphasis on community engagement, artistic development and professional-level experiences, the company plans to introduce a full series of productions and performance opportunities in the coming year.

Founder Killian James Fitzgerald has long been passionate about musical theatre and storytelling

Founded by Killian James Fitzgerald, a Limerick-based creative with a strong and diverse background in the performing arts, education and holistic wellbeing. Killian has long been passionate about musical theatre and storytelling and his career reflects a dedication to uplifting others through creativity and connection.

“We’re thrilled to welcome new performers and community members to join us for our very first event”, said Killian. “This is a wonderful chance for people to connect, sing and be part of something joyful as we head into the festive season. We want Take A Bow to feel like home for anyone who loves musical theatre”.

His work within theatre spans directing, youth engagement, community arts and promoting inclusive spaces where people can express themselves freely and confidently. Killian’s mission for Take A Bow is to create productions that not only entertain but inspire – to give performers of all backgrounds the chance to shine and to build a community bonded by creativity and shared purpose.

The company has put out an open invitation to the Limerick public, saying, “All are welcome to attend. No prior experience is required – just enthusiasm, curiosity and a love of Christmas music.”

Richard is a presenter, producer, songwriter and actor. He was named the Limerick Person of the Year (2011) and won an online award at the Metro Éireann Media and Multicultural Awards (2011) for promoting multi-culturalism online. Richard says that the ilovelimerick.com concept is very much a community driven project that aims to document life in Limerick. So, that in 20 years time people can look back and remember the events that were making the headlines.
