Louise Cantillon will return to Téacs Taistil on TG4 from April, joining her co-presenters Séaghan Ó Súilleabháin and Proinsias Ó Coinn for season 4 of the popular Irish language travel show.

The show will see the trio come together, along with new recruit, Laura Ní hAoidhne, for what promises to be a season filled with adventure, bringing a mix of culture, humour, and a grá for the Irish language to Irish screens as they dive into local life across Europe and North America.

Every week, the three young, totally unique presenters are thrown headfirst into a mystery trip with just one mission: to show us—rain-soaked Irish people—where we should go and what we could do if we hopped on a plane, train, or automobile for a three-day adventure.

Louise Cantillon is one of Ireland’s leading radio and television presenters, hailing from, Kilcoran, Co. Limerick. A natural communicator with infectious energy, she is also co-creator and host of the hugely popular podcast How To Gael, which champions the Irish language in a modern, accessible, and entertaining way. Alongside her media career, Louise is a qualified Irish and PE teacher, reflecting her passion for education, culture, and connection.

Throughout this series, Louise throws herself into every experience — whether captivating audiences as a burlesque stage kitten or immersing herself in the vibrant characters and thriving businesses of Chinatown. Louise, a fabulous fashionista, is fearless, curious, and always up for an adventure and never fails to bring style, intelligence, and sparkle wherever she goes.

Known for her sharp wit and ability to laugh at herself, Louise keeps everyone on their toes — especially when she spots an opportunity to bend the rules.

In the first episode, the gang touch down in Toronto, where cultures collide and the energy never stops. Louise heads into Chinatown and learns how to make the perfect dumpling. Proinsias celebrates Pride season at The Men’s Room Barbershop, while Séaghan meets numerous Irish immigrants as he serves up a slice of home at The George Street Diner.

The travellers are venturing closer to home in episode 2 as they head to Derry where Louise gets into the swing of jazz.

But no trip to Toronto is complete without a stop at Niagara Falls, where the trio face their splashiest challenge yet. Big city lights, big hearts and one giant waterfall – what could possibly go wrong?

Our intrepid travellers are venturing closer to home in episode 2 as they head to Derry where Louise gets into the swing of jazz, Proinsias goes wild at Wild Ireland, and Séaghan delves into the city’s past. But the craic really kicks off when the trio take on some classic scenes from Derry Girls!

Rhodes where medieval magic meets Mediterranean sunshine is the destination for the third episode. Laura brews Greek coffee – until a gang of peacocks crash her morning. Proinsias bakes with his fiery “Greek mother,” and Séaghan gets hands-on with vintage motorbikes.

On to Milwaukee where Séaghan polishes up America’s mighty rigs, Laura pitches in with the Milwaukee Milkmen at the ballpark, and Proinsias joins local pranksters Josh & Josh for a spicy on-air challenge. It’s blue-collar grit meets all-American fun – with plenty of laughs, curveballs, and chaos along the way.

The Téacs Taistil gang then head to Bucharest for the 5th episode – to explore palaces, street art, and chaos! Proinsias goes royal, Laura learns a Roma craft, and Séaghan explores the city’s ruins before the trio host an Irish céilí.

In Chicago we see Séaghan suit up with the Fire Department, stepping into the boots of real-life heroes for a high-pressure challenge that brings serious heat. From the gleaming Willis Tower to the mirrored shine of “The Bean,” the Windy City never does things by halves.

Louise swaps sightseeing for sequins with a dazzling burlesque performance, and Proinsias takes to the skies in search of the perfect insta pic, soaring in a helicopter for a jaw-dropping ride. Between skyscrapers, soul music, and serious style, this is Chicago like you’ve never seen it. Big lights, bold moves, and plenty of Irish charm.

In the final episode it’s off to sunny Larnaca, Cyprus, where luxury living meets island adventure! Proinsias falls for a baby goat while making halloumi, Laura sails the Mediterranean, and Séaghan swaps cows for donkeys…

Season 3 saw the team leave Europe for the first time on the show, with episodes one and two seeing the trio explore Morocco.

The latest season of Téacs Taistil will come to TV screens and the TG4 player on Thursday, April 2 at 9:30 pm.
