The Bedford on Bedford Row is delighted to announce the launch of its newly refurbished restaurant and new menu.

The Bedford is part of the Limerick Travel Group which is owned and operated by The Brazil Family.

Open since 2018, the Bedford has become an established eatery on Bedford Row; a popular food hub in Limerick’s city centre. Owned and operated by the Brazil family, the previous Café space has been redeveloped into a contemporary and stylish daytime restaurant. The expansion plans for The Bedford restaurant have included a new custom-built kitchen, a fully refurbished dining area and most importantly a new locally sourced menu with a beautiful selection of freshly made brunch and lunch dishes.

Also joining the team at The Bedford is the new Head Chef, Patryk Bielawski who brings over 20 years culinary experience to The Bedford restaurant. Having worked internationally in countries such as Italy, Poland and Holland the new menu reflects Patryk’s flair and passion for freshly made and wholesome dishes. Continuing The Bedford’s tradition of supporting local, the new menu incorporates many local suppliers including Rigneys Farm, Seamus Butler Butchers, Ballyhoura Mushrooms and Croom Free Range Eggs. These combined with freshly homemade artisan breads, pizzas and pasta provide mouth-watering options that will not disappoint!

Customers can enjoy these new dishes in the beautiful new restaurant surroundings designed by well-known interior designer, Tullio Orlandi who also designed The Bedford Townhouse back in 2018. Considerable thought has been put into a new colour scheme through the use of lux velvets, subtle patterns and warm-toned leather seating. The Bedford’s signature vibrant teal colour can still be seen popping through in the new coffee counter and Reception desk, all of which echoes the contemporary design and style of the adjoining 12 bedrooms in The Bedford Townhouse.

The Bedford is part of the Limerick Travel Group which is owned and operated by The Brazil Family. Limerick Travel, which is celebrating over 50 years in business in Limerick, continues to operate side by side with The Bedford in Bedford House on Bedford Row continuing the retail tradition of this well-known Limerick street. Commenting on the opening of the new restaurant, Peter Brazil, Limerick Travel Group MD said “It is wonderful to open our new restaurant after a number of challenging years for hospitality in Limerick and nationwide. It is also very much business as usual for Limerick Travel and we will continue to extend the same high level of customer service and a personalised customer experience across both businesses.”

Denise Brazil, Co-Proprietor of The Bedford added, “This expansion of The Bedford is a wonderful milestone for our business and team. Our new restaurant is the culmination of much hard work and investment over the last year. Having a locally sourced menu was paramount in our decision to expand and to offer a truly unique food offering to the local market and our Townhouse guests.”

The Bedford will open 08:00-16:00 Monday to Sunday for Brunch and Lunch with takeaway options also available. With more to come on The Bedford and its new Restaurant, those interested in learning more can follow the completion of the development on The Bedford’s social media channels.
