Spin South West launches New Podcast The Camogie Show

 SPIN South West has today launched its newest podcast series in partnership with Liberty Insurance, The Camogie Show with Valerie Wheeler.

The weekly podcast will run throughout the league (mid-January to March) and the Championship (mid-June to September) and will cover weekly camogie match analysis, player reviews, manager interviews, result and fixture discussions and much more.

The weekly podcast will be hosted on the SPIN South West website as well as the Go Loud app, SoundCloud and iTunes with the podcast content broadcast on air on SPIN South West every week. The first series episode will go live this evening.

Valerie Wheeler, SPIN South West’s Sports Reporter will host the podcast and will be joined by weekly panellists Aoife Sheehan (former Limerick Camogie All Star) as well as Niamh Mulcahy (Limerick Camogie Player and All Star).

Speaking at the launch of The Camogie Show, Podcast Host Valerie Wheeler said: “I’m extremely proud to announce that SPIN South West has teamed up with Liberty Insurance for a brand-new Camogie podcast. Here at SPIN South West, we are delighted to be supporting Women in Sport by providing them with the platform they deserve to promote the game”.

Laura Byrne from Liberty Insurance, who have come on board as podcast partners also commented: “Liberty Insurance is delighted to partner with SPIN South West to launch The Camogie Show. The show, the first to be 100% dedicated to Camogie, will provide a lively and knowledgeable forum to discuss events both on and off the pitch as we progress through the League and the Championship. We would like to wish Valerie, Niamh and Aoife the best of luck and we look forward to tuning in each week”.

Phoebe Laing from Mediaworks, the agency who brokered the partnership for Liberty Insurance spoke at the launch: “We are delighted to be partnering with Media Central and SPIN South West on behalf of our client Liberty Insurance with the launch of their brand-new Camogie-dedicated podcast. The partnership is a perfect fit for Liberty Insurance as a current sponsor of the All Ireland Camogie Championships. The podcast will allow Liberty Insurance to tap into an engaged Camogie audience while delivering on some key KPIs for the year ahead”.
