The Darkness return to Dolan’s Warehouse this October

Always an excellent live spectacle, the glam rock quartet and Lowestoft’s prodigal sons The Darkness have lined up a humungous tour. The Darkness are an English rock band from Lowestoft, Suffolk, formed in 2000. The band consists of Justin Hawkins (lead vocals, guitar), his brother Dan Hawkins (guitar, backing vocals), Frankie Poullain (bass, backing vocals) and Rufus Tiger Taylor (drums).

Singer and master orator Justin Hawkins said: “The Darkness is proud to return once again to the stages of our sceptred isle. We are here to confirm our reputation as the mightiest live band treading the boards in this saccharine age of music made by computers, millionaires and halfwits. Sometimes by all three! We will once again be showcasing our trademark mix of relentless rifferama, effortless haute couture, ridiculously loud noises and bright things that flash on and off.

“As any fool will tell you, a Darkness show is a place where believers come together, where fluids are shared, and dreams are built. But most importantly, where rock and roll is crowned king every night!

“And as if that wasn’t enough, we have made a frankly stunning fifth album that will be unleashed on the world in September of this year by the lovely Cooking Vinyl people. Good times, so come one, come all!”

Dolans is a Traditional Irish Pub located on the Dock Road in Limerick. We have a Restaurant and three Live Music Venues. They cater for groups of all shapes and sizes in our purpose built venues. They strive to ensure you always have a great experience under our roof…The Dolans Experience! Dolan’s pub is the hub of the complex, a traditional Irish bar with Irish music seven nights a week all year round. It has become a cultural attraction and this year received the IMRO Award for the best Live Music Venue in Ireland. The bar is open 12 pm daily for lunch and 10 am on weekends and public holidays for breakfast.
