The Gúnas, an all-female award-winning choir, are set to perform a special Christmas Tidings concert on Wednesday, December 17 at St Mary’s Church, Athlunkard Street, Limerick, in support of Children’s Grief Centre.
The concert, which is free to attend, will see the singing group accept donations on the evening for Children’s Grief Centre. Children’s Grief Centre provides support for school-aged children and young people affected by loss through death, separation or divorce. The charity offers a safe and supportive place for children, young people and their families who are grieving, and is provided by trained and experienced people.
The Killaloe-based singing group will be joined by special guests on the evening, with the Árdscoil Mhuire choir conducted by Nora O’Connor taking to the stage on the evening. The singers will be accompanied by violinist Diane Daly and her son, cellist Liam Hunka, with accompanist for the concert, Anne Cullen.
Children’s Grief Centre said they are excited for the event that will see carol singing, storytelling, and choir singing all in support of the charity.
