With their dresses coming from the finest show rooms in Paris, hand-picked and selected by the Cahill sisters themselves, the various designers which you’ll find in store include Alex Perry, Rachel Gilbert, Ginger and Smart, Vanilla and Mark and Sass and Byde. There is such a wide variety of exclusive designers to choose from and with rental prices ranging from €80-€120 for a cute cocktail dress and €180-€200 for a floor length gown it’s certainly no wonder to me why these stylish sisters and their boutique are so successful!

 

 

With the boutique being such a bright, spacious environment lined with mirrors, the experience of shopping in here is definitely a treat in itself. The Ivory Closet also has its own in-house dress maker who takes care of any alterations that need to be made to the dress they are renting. The Ivory Closet even has a speedy courier service (and no it isn’t a wardrobe on wheels..) with Fastway couriers meaning you can select your dress from the comfort of your own home on their website http://theivorycloset.com/magento/ and have it delivered right to your doorstep.

 

 

Speaking with Aoife Hannon who has been working in the store for years tells me that “Summer is definitely our busiest time of year with Tuesday being our busiest day of the week,” Adding that “various sizes are available across all of the dresses and designers in store.”

 

Being famous for dressing a variety of national celebs such as First Lady of Limerick Celia Holman Lee, Leanne Moore, Rozanna Purcell, Pippa O’Connor and Vogue Williams to name but a few, it isn’t any surprise that as soon as you slip into one of these glamorous gowns you feel red carpet ready. Also, nothing riddles a woman’s mind like the dreaded thought of turning up in the same dress as someone else to an event, BUT, if you’ve been so clever as to choose a dress from The Ivory Closet’s collection this issue doesn’t even exist! When you rent your dress in the boutique the girls make sure to take note of what event you’re attending so to ensure NO ONE turns up in the same frock! *wipes forehead with relief!*

 

Both collections in store and online are updated regularly every 4-8 weeks making you fashionistas and style enthusiasts spoilt for choice when choosing a dress. The Ivory Closet is open from 10-5 every Tuesday-Friday for walk ins, and appointments can be made on Saturdays for exclusive fittings.
