Having been adapted and endorsed by a council meeting on 28th September last, The Limerick Privilege is to be officially launched on Friday 6th November in Thomond Park.

The scheme introduced by Limerick Volunteer Centre is being rolled out in association with Limerick City & County Council, The Limerick Leader and Limerick Live 95FM. It will reward community and voluntary volunteers with a range of discounts and special offers from businesses right across the city and county.   Limerick Volunteer Centre Coordinator Paul Moriarty said: “I am delighted at the unanimous decision of the councillors to support the scheme.“

He added. “This is the first time that a civic exercise like this is taking place, where a local authority is teaming up with a local volunteer centre and local media to recognise and award the citizens in its own jurisdiction. I think it’s brilliant. I am thrilled.”

The conference itself is a must for Limerick’s community and voluntary sector. The line up includes;
