The studio was opened five years ago by owner and artist Keri Sherlock, who has an extensive background in pottery and a genuine passion for sharing the craft with others. From the beginning, Keri’s vision was to create a pottery studio that was accessible to everyone – a welcoming space where people could experience the joy, tradition and therapeutic benefits of pottery without feeling intimidated or needing any previous experience.

Keri said, “At The Painted Pot, there is no pressure to be an artist and no expectation that everything has to be perfect. Instead, the emphasis is firmly on having fun, being creative and enjoying the process. Children and adults alike are encouraged to play, experiment and see where their imagination takes them.”
