All Saints Church will come alive to the sounds of Mozart Bartók and Shostakovich on Tuesday 13 October, when one of Europe’s finest young string quartets perform at the third in a series of four concerts as part of the Castleconnell 2015 Autumn Concert Series.

A union of four brilliant female musicians’ creativity and sensitivity, they have in a remarkably short space of time, established a formidable reputation as one of Europe’s finest young string quartets, playing in some of the world’s most prestigious halls this year as part of the ECHO Rising Stars programme.

The French quartet has been invited to perform in venues such as Wigmore Hall, Berlin Philharmonie, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and the Beijing Performing Arts Centre in the past three years. The group has also worked regularly with Hatto Beyerle, violist and founding member of the Alban Berg Quartet, and last year released a much-lauded debut album featuring works by Janáček and Martinů.

“It’s so exciting to have these rising stars, the Zaïde Quartet come to Limerick as part of the Castleconnell Concert Series. Their choice of music for the programme represents composers from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries honouring the European tradition of quartet composition as a genre. Don’t miss their technical brilliance in their once off visit to Limerick”
