Comprising of musicians from Limerick and surrounding areas, the ensemble is dedicated to showcasing the immense local talent and fostering a sense of unity through the joy of performance. Thomond Wind Ensemble takes its name from the ancient kingdom of ‘Thomond’ which incorporated the areas of modern-day Limerick, Clare and Tipperary.

The concert will be MC’d by renowned Limerick personality Nigel Dugdale, and the ensemble will be joined by special guests, the Aoide Voices Choir, directed by Owen Gilhooly-Miles, and acclaimed soprano Emma English. Together, they aim to create a powerful and enriching musical experience for all in attendance.
