Timothy sadly passed away on November 22, 2025, while working to build his forever home for himself and his partner, Catriona.

A Limerick family and the wider community are coming together to raise funds for Templeglantine Community First Responders to honour the memory of their beloved friend and family member, Timothy Lynch Jnr.

Timothy sadly passed away on November 22, 2025, while working to build his forever home for himself and his partner, Catriona. In memory of Timothy, his family have started a fundraiser to support the Templeglantine Community First Responders for their support at the time of Timothy’s passing.

The family say on their fundraising page, “Tim was a much-loved son, brother, partner, uncle, godfather, nephew, cousin and friend. Tim was one of a kind and would always be there to help anyone who needed it. A professional blocklayer by trade, there wasn’t anything Tim couldn’t do. Tim was extremely gifted with his hands and had a natural gift for construction and mechanics. We see that every day in all the houses, garages, walls, etc. that Tim has built over the years across the country.”

Explaining why they chose Templeglantine Community First Responders for their fundraising efforts, they said, “On November 22nd 2025, our lives changed forever when Tim passed away suddenly while building his forever home for himself and his partner, Catriona.

In memory of Timothy, his family have started a fundraiser to support the Templeglantine Community First Responders for their support at the time of Timothy’s passing.

“This is why Templeglantine Community First Responders is a group so important to us. They were the first on the scene on November 22nd and worked tirelessly on Tim and did everything possible for him.”

Tim’s family explain that Templeglantine C.F.R is completely volunteer-based and relies solely on fundraising. They added, “Each volunteer needs to be equipped with life-saving equipment. This fundraiser is a thank you from us to them.

“We would love to be able to raise enough money to equip the team with a defibrillator, along with first aid and safety equipment. We would love to be able to provide life-saving equipment in memory of our beloved Tim.”

Community First Responders provide the first response before the arrival of the emergency services. A first responder is trained in basic life support and the use of a defibrillator and attends an actual or potentially life-threatening emergency.

With a goal of €10,000, the family’s fundraiser has raised more than €7,500 as of Friday, March 13, with the organisers: Tim’s partner Catriona, parents Tim Snr and Betty, sisters Liz and Mary, brother Michael, sister-in-law Caroline, nephews Kauan, Jaycob, Victor, Michael Jnr, James and niece Kate showing their gratitude for all those who have donated.
