The LAMA (Local Authority and Members Association) Awards is part of the All Ireland Community and Council Awards, which is now in its 15th year.

The All Ireland Community and Council Awards, which is presented by IPD Insurance, recognise and celebrate community and councils working together.

They provide a great opportunity to highlight and celebrate the work done within communities, to reward the unsung heroes, and recognise the phenomenal contribution they’ve made to our lives.

Other categories in the awards include Community-Based Initiative, Best Community Health Initiative, sponsored by Healthy Ireland, Best Business Working with the Community, sponsored by An Post, Best Tourism Initiative, Best Social Housing project/Initiative, sponsored by Geo Directory, and many more.

The TLC initiative is sponsored by the JP McManus Benevolent Fund and is spearheaded by Paul O’Connell and Limerick City and County Council and partnered by Mr. Binman, Limerick’s Live 95FM, and The Limerick Leader.

It was set up with the aim of creating an event that would see communities come together to help clean up their neighborhoods.

Every Good Friday, TLC organises an event to clean up Limerick and encourage volunteers of all ages and get involved.

Since its inception, there have been over 23,000 volunteers taking part in the initiative, instilling a sense of civic spirit and pride of place.

Winners of the LAMA Awards will be announced on Saturday, November 27.

Team Limerick Clean Up would like to congratulate all finalists.

The I Love Limerick crew would like to thank Team limerick Clean Up for the work that they do and wish them the best of luck!
