TLC2, is an initiative sponsored by the JP McManus Benevolent Fund and administered by Limerick City and County Council. Endorsed by Paul O’Connell, the official partners of TLC2 include, Mr Binman, The Limerick Leader and Limerick’s Live 95FM.

Commenting at the launch, Paul O’Connell said, “Our inaugural event was incredible with over 10,000 volunteers taking part. Next year we hope to get more sports clubs and schools involved so the whole concept of keeping your locality tidy starts at grass roots level upwards. We all know that general litter waste in our city and county is an on-going issue, so we will be asking volunteers to come out again next Good Friday and enjoy the morning picking, sweeping and clearing their areas – essentially it’s easy and a bit of fun!”

Sue Ann Foley, Chairperson of the JP McManus Benevolent Fund said, “We are delighted that TLC2 will take place again next year. This is a great initiative in which communities throughout the whole of Limerick can participate across all generations to help make our county a cleaner place. I would like to acknowledge the tremendous support which Limerick City & County Council provides TLC2, along with our partners Mr Binman, The Limerick Leader and Limerick’s Live 95FM.”

Team Limerick clean up two has a dedicated website,  email address and help-line telephone number, which is 01 2953519. Volunteers can register online from Monday January 4, the  Clean-up packs will be available for all those who register from early March 2016, from outlets around the city and county.
