Toastmasters Ireland are on the road this October for the Campaign of Connection and will stop at the People’s Museum of Limerick on Thursday, October 9, from 12 – 2 pm.
As part of Toastmasters Awareness Week running from October 5 to 11, Toastmasters Ireland is hitting the road! The Campaign of Connection Bus Tour is travelling to 13 locations across the country, bringing the energy, warmth and inspiration of Toastmasters directly into local communities.
On Thursday, October 9, the Toastmasters bus arrives in Limerick City, stopping at The People’s Museum for a lively, interactive event that’s open to all — whether you’re curious about public speaking, looking to build leadership skills, or simply want to enjoy an uplifting community gathering.
The event will have a live demo of a typical Toastmasters meeting; inspiring speeches, impromptu speaking, storytelling; magical entertainment and fun for all ages; and a chance to meet local Toastmasters and discover how clubs operate.
Other events include network with professionals, students, and community leaders; and people can learn how Toastmasters can support personal and professional growth.

This event is perfect for job seekers preparing for interviews; young professionals seeking leadership experience; community leaders looking to make a bigger impact; and anyone wanting to build confidence, overcome fear of public speaking, or connect with like-minded people
Mairead Dillon, District Director, UK & Ireland said, “This one-of-a-kind roadshow brings the power of communication and confidence directly to communities like Limerick. Toastmasters is a global educational organisation, but it thrives on local connections. This event showcases what happens in our meetings — and how life-changing it can be.”
Siobhan Doherty, Area 13 said, “People hear the name ‘Toastmasters’ and expect something stuffy. It’s the opposite! It’s fun, it’s inclusive, it’s real-life education. We learn by doing — and by supporting each other.”
Declan Drummey, President, Shannon Toastmasters, said, “Toastmasters helped me overcome a deep fear of speaking, rooted in my experience growing up with dyslexia. Now, I lead a club and speak with confidence. This Campaign of Connection is vital for Toastmasters’ visibility — and for reaching people who need this support.”
Meena Verma, PRO, Raheen Club added, “Toastmasters is about more than public speaking — it’s about courage, confidence, and community. When we find our voice, we find our power.”
The group invited everyone to join them and see what Toastmasters is really about, saying, “It could be the first step toward a more confident you!”
