The Tom Smyth Method Comes to Limerick This September for an Evening of Business Growth, Strategy and Mindset. In Collaboration With Tom Smyth Mentoring
The Tom Smyth Method comes to the Limerick Strand Hotel on Thursday, 17 September 2026, for an evening of practical business strategy, leadership and personal development

Entrepreneurs and business owners from across Limerick and the surrounding areas are being invited to an evening of practical business strategy, leadership and personal development as entrepreneur and business mentor Tom Smyth brings The Tom Smyth Method to Limerick Strand Hotel on Thursday, 17 September 2026 at 7:30pm.
Hosted by Tom Smyth Mentoring, the event has been created for business owners who want to take time away from the day-to-day demands of running their company and look objectively at where their business is now, where they want it to go and what may be standing in the way of that next stage of growth.
Rather than a traditional motivational business event, The Tom Smyth Method will focus on practical tools, conversations and exercises that attendees can apply directly to their own businesses.
Tom Smyth is an entrepreneur, business owner, author, speaker and business and personal development mentor who has spent decades building businesses and working alongside entrepreneurs and business owners.
Through his experience both in business and mentoring, Tom identified six foundations that consistently influence the strength and growth of a business, regardless of its size or industry.
These have become the six pillars of The Tom Smyth Method: Direction, Numbers, People, Systems, Rhythm and Owner.

Speaking ahead of the Limerick event, Tom said, “After years of building businesses, mentoring business owners and seeing what separates those who grow from those who stay stuck, I realised that the same foundations keep appearing. It doesn’t matter whether you’re in construction, hospitality, retail, manufacturing or professional services. The businesses themselves can look completely different, but underneath, the fundamentals are remarkably similar.”
Throughout the evening, attendees will be encouraged to apply each of the six pillars directly to their own business.
Direction will explore where the business is going, what success looks like and whether the people within the organisation understand that vision.
Numbers will focus on understanding the figures and key performance indicators that allow owners to make informed decisions rather than relying on instinct alone.
People will examine leadership, roles, responsibility and accountability within a growing team, while Systems will look at creating processes that allow businesses to operate more consistently and effectively.
Rhythm focuses on the daily, weekly and monthly disciplines required to turn a business strategy into consistent action.
The final pillar, Owner, turns the attention back towards the person leading the business, exploring leadership, mindset, habits, confidence, self-belief, decision-making and personal development.
Tom explained, “You can have a great strategy, good people and ambitious targets, but eventually you have to look at the person leading the business. Sometimes the next thing that needs to change isn’t the business itself. It’s the way the owner is thinking, leading or showing up.”

Mindset and personal development will therefore form an important part of the evening, alongside practical business strategy.
Attendees will receive a participant workbook and will be encouraged to assess their own businesses, identify gaps and make notes and decisions throughout the event.
Tom added, “I don’t want people coming to Limerick, listening to me for a few hours and going home with a notebook they never open again. Bring your business into the room. Bring the team issue, the numbers that aren’t adding up, the system that isn’t working or the decision you’ve been avoiding. I want people to leave knowing what actually needs their attention next.”
The evening will conclude with a live Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to ask Tom questions relating to their own businesses, challenges and ambitions.
For Tom, the goal is for attendees to leave with something considerably more valuable than a temporary burst of motivation.
“If somebody walks out feeling motivated for 24 hours, we haven’t done enough. I want them walking into their business the next day looking at it differently. The goal is clarity, practical action and understanding what you’re going to do next.”
The Tom Smyth Method takes place at Limerick Strand Hotel on Thursday, 17 September 2026 at 7:30 pm. The event is open to entrepreneurs and business owners across all industries who want to strengthen their business, develop as a leader and gain a clearer understanding of what needs to happen to move forward.
