Modulacc specialises in the design, manufacturing and installation of 3D volumetric modular buildings and provides instant space solutions like portable cabins, anti-vandal units and storage containers. Through exposure to the company’s end-to-end operations, students were given valuable insight into a broad range of career pathways spanning design, procurement, project management, manufacturing, construction, customer service and health and safety.

The programme also provided students with hands-on experience in developing key skills such as CV preparation, interview techniques, and personal branding, equipping them with practical tools to support their future career journeys.

One of the highlights of the programme was the mock interview session. Students reviewed two roles at Modulacc, applied for the position that interested them most, and later participated in interviews for the role at the company’s office.

Business In The Community Ireland, Regional Coordinator, Maura Murphy, commented, “Modulacc’s commitment to supporting its local community and raising career expectations of DEIS students is evident, and we look forward to working with them again in the future.”

Speaking on the positive feedback from students, Teacher, Robert Browne said, “Our fifth-years really enjoyed the programme. Modulacc have been incredibly supportive and generous with their time, providing our students with real insights into the working world. They’ve come away from the experience with new skills and more confidence.”

Modulacc Managing Director, Colin McNamara, said the company is “happy to partner with St. Clement’s College and to support their students as they begin to navigate the world of work”

He added, “We were really impressed by the level of engagement and how well the students prepared for each of the five sessions. They are a credit to their school and have bright futures ahead of them. It’s very clear how well supported they are by everyone at St. Clement’s College.”

The programme concluded this week with student presentations and the awarding of certificates, marking the successful completion of a programme designed to equip young people with workplace readiness skills.
