Treaty United FC and GOSHH (Gender Orientation Sexual Health HIV) have announced plans for a special Pride celebration for the Women’s Premier Division clash between Treaty United and Shelbourne FC set to take place at Markets Field on Saturday, July 25.
Taking place during Limerick Pride month, the event is designed to celebrate diversity, promote inclusion, and reinforce the club’s commitment to creating a welcoming space for all members of the community.
The fixture will serve as more than just a matchday experience. It represents a visible statement of support for LGBTQIA individuals in sport, highlighting the importance of accessibility and belonging within football.

By partnering with GOSHH, a well-established organisation supporting the health and wellbeing of LGBTQIA people in the Mid-West, Treaty United aims to use its platform to amplify awareness and encourage positive change.
Making the announcement, GOSHH said they were grateful to be chosen as the charity partner for the League of Ireland Women’s Premier Division clash in July.
They said, “We’re proud to be the charity partner for this special League of Ireland Women’s Premier Division clash between Treaty United and Shelbourne FC at Markets Field this Pride!
“Join us on July 25th as football and community come together to celebrate inclusion, visibility, and pride both on and off the pitch.”
The Limerick-based charity called on supporters to “pack the stands and make it a day to remember!”
To support the fundraisers, people purchasing tickets can use the code GOSHH2507 at checkout which will allow a donation to be made to GOSHH.
The collaboration reflects a broader movement within sport to break down barriers that have historically limited participation and visibility for LGBTQIA athletes and fans. By fostering an inclusive matchday environment, Treaty United is helping to challenge those barriers and demonstrate that football is a game for everyone.

GOSHH is a voluntary, non-profit organisation which provides care, support and prevention services relating to the LGBTI+, HIV, STI, and Sexual Health issues to people in the Mid-West of Ireland. The charity strives to ensure that people have access to local services which match and exceed those available in the rest of the country.
