Screen Training Ireland to hold Troy Studios PA Bootcamp

Screen Training Ireland and Limerick and Clare ETB in partnership with Universal Cable Productions will be holding an intensive three-day  Production Assistant Bootcamp at Troy Studios Limerick in early December.

The Bootcamp which is aimed at graduates trainees and newbies of the film industry is not a course but the ultimate job training opportunity, which is comprised of a two day thorough, intensive real-world programme designed to give participants a full and practical understanding of the rile of Office, Set and Location Production Assistant.

As part of the three-day programme, participants will also complete a one-day Health & Safety programme offered by BECTU, and accredited under the BBC/BECTU/PACT/Skillset Production Safety Passport Scheme, on their final day.

The Bootcamp will feature tutors including Jody Brockway, Leigh Paonessa, Chuck Canzoneri and John Crumpton to guide participants through the three-day programme and show them what is required to succeed in the film industry.

Participants will be split into two groups and the first group will complete the Bootcamp from Tuesday, December 5 to Thursday, December 7 and the second group from Thursday, December 7 to Saturday, December 9.
