Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy another vibrant evening in Limerick City as Twilight Thursdays returns on Thursday, June 25, making the most of the long, bright days of midsummer.
Taking place just days after the summer solstice, this month’s edition offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy the city late into the evening, with daylight lingering and a relaxed summer atmosphere throughout Limerick.
Held on the last Thursday of each month, Twilight Thursdays is part of Limerick’s Night-Time Economy initiative, bringing together local businesses, cultural organisations and community groups to create a welcoming and lively city centre late into the evening.

June’s programme will feature a wide range of family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and cultural experiences, encouraging people to stay longer, explore more, and experience the city in a different light – quite literally.
The initiative also supports local businesses by increasing footfall and creating opportunities to engage with new and returning customers in a lively evening setting.
June highlights include The Big Limerick Seisiún with Irish music and dancing at The Locke; “Ten Years of The Limerick Lady” at No.1 Pery Square, celebrating Irish women; Twilight Tales storytelling experience at the Hunt Museum; Brazilian Festa Junina celebration and Samba drumming experiences in the city centre; Family-friendly evening at Limerick Milk Market with entertainment, crafts and food; and Siege of Limerick 1691 historical walking tour departing from the Hunt Museum.
More events include Ivory Elephant Twilight Market featuring artisan food, vintage and crafts; live music with Summer Nights on Shannon Street; arcade tournaments, trivia nights, interactive workshops and late-night escape room experiences; a wide range of dining offers, drinks specials and late openings across bars, cafés and restaurants; and a late-night DJs, live music and club events across multiple city venues.
To make the experience even more accessible, discounted taxi offers will be available on the night, making it easier for people to travel to and from the city centre.

Limerick is one of nine locations selected to take part in the national Night-Time Economy pilot programme, supported by the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport, helping to position the city as a vibrant and inclusive destination after dark.
