The exclusive Irish outdoor show from the legendary UB40 featuring Ali Campbell takes place on Sunday 24th  August 2025 at TUS Gaelic Grounds

The exclusive Irish outdoor show from the legendary UB40 featuring Ali Campbell on Sunday 24th  August 2025 at TUS Gaelic Grounds just got even better with ska icons The Selecter and The Beatles Dub Club joining the bill alongside already-annoucned special guest Damien Dempsey for a massive day of music!

The Selecter is led by their iconic frontwoman Pauline Black OBE. One of very few women in the 2-Tone scene, she is often referred to as the Queen of Ska.

Known the world over for hits including ‘Three Minute Hero’, ‘Missing Words’, ‘Too Much Pressure’ and ‘On My Radio’, The Selecter recently supported Blur at London’s Wembley Stadium.

The anarchic passion that fuelled Selecter gigs during the original 2-Tone era is still there as they continue to perform at festivals and venues around the world.

The Beatles Dub Club will take you on a magical mystery tour of a collection of covers, remixes and tracks that sampled arguably the greatest band that ever existed, The Beatles. Expect to hear plenty of reggae, ska, Latin, hip-hop, dub, funk, house and even drum & bass takes on the wonderful music created by John, Paul, George & Ringo.

Fuelled by the voice that powered UB40 to 70 million record sales and over fifty UK chart hits, UB40 feat Ali Campbell will bring his legendary reggae sound to the Gaelic Grounds and will be joined by special guest Damien Dempsey.

It was 2023 which marked 40 years since the release of UB40’s seminal album Labour of Love on 12th September 1983, producing the groundbreaking hits that will be performed on the night such as ‘Cherry Oh Baby’, ‘Many Rivers to Cross’, ‘Please Don’t Make Me Cry’, and of course the ubiquitous ‘Red Red Wine’ which topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic and in Ireland.

Building on a legacy that dates back 45 years to his formative years in inner-city Birmingham, singer and guitarist Ali’s touring ensemble remains the most authentic realisation of UB40’s original aim of advancing reggae in all its guises.

“I think I’ve got the best reggae band in the world,” says Ali. “We can play in the UK, Africa or an island like Fiji, and people will be buzzing afterwards.”
